If you're gonna say you don't buy that someone as attuned with the Force as Snoke couldn't sense the saber moving right next to him, then you also shouldn't buy Sidious not sensing Vader's change of heart also right next to him.

That's not really the same thing. Palpatine was busy trying to kill Luke when Vader blindsided him, Snoke was looking into the mind of Ren to see what he'd do next and yet he didn't see Ren killing him? The bathos in the latter scene was so powerful I roared with laughter at what was supposed to be dramatic. :bored:

I thought the Last Jedi was good, but a few rough parts. I hated Admiral Holdo (purple hair chick), and casino part goes absolutely nowhere. Otherwise, the movie is a solid B in my book. The hatred movie is way overblown from certain parts of the hardcore, but I feel they set their expectations way too high.

@Lain Sidious was taking pauses to talk to Luke as he was begging his father while Vader was like, looking back and forth between his master and his son, looking already pretty undecided. Sidious should totally have sensed Vader's doubt.

It's especially compared to the Snoke situation, IMO, if you consider Sidious was keeping Vader under close watch all the time cause he knew full well he'd eventually turn on him and kill him, cause such is how the Sith way has always worked.

@BrawlMan I'm not even a hardcore, more of a mild fan of SW and I still found it terrabad, especially and more evidently as a sequel to TFA, as it just squanders or just ignores pretty much every thread introduced in that movie in the lamest ways it can. Now I know why the fans call him Ruin Johnson.

@Foxtrot94 Neither am I a hardcore fan either. More of casual SW fan. I've seen some spin-off titles and games, but never read any of EU novels that are now non-canon. Any problems with film aren't entirely Rian's fault. Some of it smells of Disney dicking around with the film. Otherwise, Rian did the best of his abilities, and I thought he did a fine job.
