From a business POV, this is pretty much suicide for Capcom unless they announce the real DMC5. I'm amazed they haven't given any more info yet.

Yeah, I'll look at your fic if you want, but keep in mind I'm not a writer. I'm more focused on ideas and sticking to canon, so I may not be much help. Consider having chloe look at it for purely grammatical stuff.

Casuals will love it, because it is just another generic action game. TBH, even if DMC5 does come out, I'm concerned that the series is obsolete. All of its uniqueness has been distributed across the action games it spawned. Just from TGS, we have NG3, Knight's Contract, El Shaddai, and Castlevania. Not to mention Darksiders, Bayo, and GOW.

Things look grim, but only for DMC fans.

I think it gives Lucas' lawsuit a bit of a boost. They were very cavalier with DMC1 actually. You know the Air Hike circle? They basically copy and pasted the runes directly from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Kind of doing both :lol: I have a thread in the fanfic section that I recently update. It's entitled 'Funny Short Stories Compilation'. Apart from that, all my other work is over.

Trial of the Devils, I remember that. Man, that was ages ago, with me and ChaosMaster. I think we both got busy with other fic work, and it kind of died. I know what you mean, it happens like that >.<

If you have any questions or comments about either fic, feel free to post in the threads themselves. We live for the questions, and I know there are some things that could be clarified in the fic (for instance, Anna is Lady's ancestor and relative of Eva, but not her great grandmother).

Nope, I'm Moses. BD isn't on the scene anymore, and he and Manny wrote the first version. I edited and revised and added footnotes what you see here is like version 3 or 3.5. For instance, the battle scenes in the first version were much smaller and less detailed. Since the fic was originally written without my direct input, it doesn't contain as much mythology as it could, so I added the footnotes to give it the sense of an ancient text that was discovered. We hope to add more things included in my augmented universe later.

I'm glad that we provided inspiration for someone. None of us are really writers, and I am probably the most widely read of the three, but we wanted to write something that gave the series the respect and depth it deserved. If you'd like a list of recommended reading for topics in the fic, just let me know.

Hollow Worlds is still in version 1 or 1.5 basically, so the writing isn't as tight, but we're hoping to make it intriguing.

Oh, thanks. I'm not sure how many people read it all the way through, but there tend to be very few comments at the end, so we appreciate the appreciation, if you know what I mean. Me and Manny hope to get to the sequel eventually, covering the 2000 years after his awakening to his death, but time is scarce. In the meantime, you can check out Hollow Worlds. It isn't as epic but it is pretty approachable I'd say.
