I think Vergil has a good shot at winning this one.
I normally go for the antagonist, but it's always been Dante for me.
I think they made Dante too annoying in the 4th game maybe?

All we have really seen of Sparda in the games is his skin. We don't really know in depth what sort of a person he was or even his fighting style. The only things we can base our opinions on at the moment are what he looks like and the vague stories that have been told. But we have seen and played as the above so we can make a fair judgement.
